What’s next?

December 4, 2009

Last week I had to spray my skates white. They were white-ish, but with 15 years worth of caked on polish, plus sticky remnants of a couple of seasons worth of sk8tape, they were looking pretty grungy. But after a few hours worth of scraping, sanding and rubbing, followed by a couple of coats of the shoe spray, they looked pretty darn good. And it got me thinking – what else could I spray white?

Very quickly I decided on my hall light fixtures.

I think some white paint will update this fixture nicely.

Currently a sad shade of brass, these fixtures are a cool style, but need some updating. I’ve seen this done on home renovation shows all the time, and a quick google search provided me with a step by step guide on how to do it.

I think next weekend I’ll ask Will to take them down for me and give this a try. Stay posted for updates!

  1. Hi Christine, a friend of mine put thin, press metal on her fridge door – looks really cool.

  2. Christine, as I told you personally today; writing a blog on moving a new place and home decoration is a very sharp and excellent idea. This blog will never get old, and we will all go back to your blog once we need it. Thannks again.
